A quick walkthrough before you pick up the tape measure.
Measure once, order right
How to measure your opening
Grab a steel tape and check your numbers twice. A few extra minutes here means doors that glide, not doors that jam.

Measure the width
Measure across the top and the bottom of the opening from the left jamb to the right jamb, full span, not per door.

Measure the height
Measure down the left side and the right side of the opening from the carpet or flooring to the underneath of the top frame.

Allow for the track
Your track system sits inside the opening as well. Its better to be a few mm too wide than the tracks being too short for your chosen track (Standard Double, Slimline Triple or Slimline Double).

Fit it yourself
How to install your new doors
A level, a drill and a spare afternoon are all most people need. Take the tracks slowly and the rest follows.

Step 1 of 4
Fit the top track first
position the top track on the top jamb. Make sure it's straight, then secure it in place with screws.

Fit the bottom track
Set the bottom track plumb with the top track, checking it straight before you fix it down.

Fit the doors
Lift each door into the top track first, then guide the base into the bottom track.

Adjust and test
Run each door back and forth and fine-tune the rollers or guides until every door glides smoothly and sits flush.
